About Pat Price, Founder of BENEFITS by PRICE

Pat Price’s mission is to help Business Owners find employee benefit solutions that help with the high cost of medical insurance while providing supplemental benefits that help protect their employees from the indirect costs of being sick or injured.

Pat specializes in supplemental and voluntary insurance, which she calls “People’s Insurance” because it pays money directly to the people. Pat holds the hands of her policyholders through the worst times in their lives. She helps protect them from bankruptcy and other financial losses due to critical illness or accidents with the benefits she offers.

Pat’s devotion to clients comes from her own experience, becoming responsible for her toddler brother and teenage self when her mom died. Her parents had health insurance, but they didn’t have supplemental insurance. Lack of supplemental insurance left the family broke and vulnerable which took away many opportunities.

Her career in insurance started under the tutelage of the son of renowned rags-to-riches insurance salesman W. Clement Stone. She learned to live by the Positive Mental Attitude philosophy. Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. And in each of her first three quarters, she was the first woman in the Western United States to sell a face value of $1 million of life insurance. She went on to become the first woman executive of the life insurance department of the carrier she represented.

Early in her career Pat was recognized as one of the top five agents nationally. Other honors have included Agent of the Year and President’s Council. Pat has also served on several boards of directors, including Electrical Council of Florida, American Subcontractors Association, and Associated Builders and Contractors. While serving on the board, she helped create Handlebars for the Holidays, a philanthropic initiative benefiting children in need. This award-winning charity also went national. And today, she fundraises for the American Cancer Society’s Jail and Bail event in South Florida,

Pat knows firsthand what it’s like to avert a financial loss after experiencing her own catastrophic accident. While traveling she had an accident that led to 62 days in the hospital, two major surgeries and five months of home health care. It was fortunate that Pat had taken her own advice on supplemental insurance policies since it saved her from financial disaster.

Pat is licensed in life and health insurance. Pat’s relationships with reputable insurance carriers enable employees to safeguard their families, finances and futures, because bills continue, even when paychecks do not. Employees with strong benefits feel more valued, and their morale and loyalty increase. Furthermore, the carriers Pat represents generally pay claims within two weeks.
